STRENGTH FOR LIFE AQUA

Welcome to individually designed strength training for over 50’s… in the pool!

Strength For Life Aqua is now right here in South Australia and is the perfect class now that the weather is beginning to warm up :) There is so much to be gained from the program (not just plenty of fun and laughter!) as exercising in water helps to build cardio, strength and resistance while being extremely easy on the joints in a wonderfully cool and relaxing atmosphere.

What are some of the benefits of Strength For Life Aqua?

Muscle Strength – The resistance in the pool helps to ensure that the body’s muscles get a fantastic workout.

Physical Endurance – Unlike traditional weights, water resistance is a much more natural form of resistance which allows the body to “push” through the water rather than against it.

Low Impact – As you can imagine, the buoyancy of the water allows a wonderfully low impact form of exercise and is a fantastic option for those suffering with joint afflictions such as arthritis or injuries that prevent high impact programs.

Reduces Pressure on Joints – Studies have shown that water based exercise programs help to relieve uncomfortable pressure that is placed on joints from normal wear and tear and conditions such as arthritis.

Ready to dive in? As part of the COTA Strength For Life Program the first step in your health and happiness journey is a quick visit to your health professional for participation clearance, followed by a fun one on one assessment in the pool to help build the perfect program to achieve your goals!
